The Challenge
Frontrunners Nanaimo is a local running store selling shoes, apparel, and accessories. When COVID-19 shut down in-person retail, they approached Midstride to build an e-commerce site so they could keep serving customers.
The Solution
After evaluating their existing POS and inventory systems, Midstride recommended Shopify as the platform. The team worked with Frontrunners to select an off-the-shelf theme that met most needs while keeping costs down, then customized it to match their brand.
Midstride also helped define a process for connecting inventory to reduce manual work, and built customizations for product variations and related-product discovery.
Results
The site launched smoothly with very few issues. Post-COVID, it continues to serve as another channel for customers to discover products, purchase online, or pick up in-store.
